Pietari is a Finnish illustrator, graphic designer and artist currently living in Spain. I first spotted one of his prints in the book, Pulled by Mike Barry and immediately wanted to see more of his work so tracked him down to his web site (linked below).

The simplicity of his images contradicts the narrative hidden there and mixed in with a splash of retro 70's style makes for a truly enviable illustrative approach. I wish I could illustrate with such fleur.

Light painting has come of age recently with photographers finding more creative ways to use the technique rather than the default traffic images of a few years ago. This image by BurnBlue Photography caught my attention as its one of the first to try to incorporate its technique within a more natural landscape. It does a great job of grabbing your attention and makes me wonder just how it was done?
