![]() Chicago based artist/designer Ward Nipper pencil illustrations reminds me to "just draw" for the love of it! His work is truly elegant, simple yet so detailed. As he mentions on his own artist profile with the arrival of computer in the design world I have forgotten how to use a pencil. I have been looking at so many illustrators over the last few months and thinking about were to start I had forgotten about the joy of just placing pencil to paper. Of course Nipper is an expert in this but he has reminded me about the most important part being a designer/illustrator. Just enjoy it! ![]() Bolognesi's watercolour paintings are lively and colourful while capturing the personality of the model through more detailed areas such as the eyes and mouth. I really love this style of illustration and would like to try and emulate it someday. Check out Bolognesi blog on her web site as she has also been collaborating lately with other artists and has created some really great work that present her watercolours in new ways alongside the other artists involved.
