This has such a strong painterly feel for me and I love the way the picture is carefully planned to provide such inventive concepts.

Marc is based in Australia and his work is featured in publications such as Wired and Monocle magazine. His stylish work harks back to the illustrative style of the 60s and 70s yet still looks very contampory. To see more of Marc's work please visit: http://www.marcmartin.com.au/ This great image from Craig has taken a modern image from the movie and worked it back to a more comic book/illustrative style found in the early 2000AD comics of my childhood. Was always a big fan of Brian Bolland so this image really reminds me of his work. Sorry can't find a website for Craig’s work but will keep looking. Raphaël is based in Belgium and has become well known in the industry for his fashion and design illustrations. His work has also been featured in numerous books, magazines and websites. I love the way he mixes pattern, typography and illustrations to create rich imagery, which you can look at numerous times and continue to find new things within the layers of the image. Also love the comment in her interview that her favorite tool is a H pencil! To view more of Emma's work please visit her website at: http://www.emmaleonard.com/ Rebecca's work mainly concentrates on the female portrait, using greens and blues with bold black outlines to capture the likeness of the model. Her work reminds me of the photography of Man Ray or imagery from early avant-garde movies in the 1920. I really like this mixture of photo-realism and bold brush stroke and will have to try and emulate this some day soon. I have only seen six of the portraits so far but these have all been stunning and Mike captures the actors flawlessly in each piece. Truly inspiring work by a very talented painter.
